Dental Implants

If you suffer from broken or missing teeth, the effects are more than just skin deep. In addition to causing an unattractive smile, broken and missing teeth also pose a direct medical risk, as they allow bacteria, food particles, and other contaminants to invade the tooth, often beyond the gum line. This can cause inflammation, infection, and abscesses.

An implant is a relatively simple and permanent procedure than can help protect the area and restore your teeth and gums to a healthy condition. The prosthetic tooth is held in place by a titanium screw, which fuses with your jawbone.

Implant Crowns

Implant crowns consist of two pieces: the implant abutment and the ceramic / zirconia / noble metal fused to a porcelain crown. An implant crown is significantly stronger than dentures or partials. It offers a single and permanent solution to a lost tooth, several missing teeth (implant bridge), or fixed dentures (also known as overdentures).

In our Manhattan clinic, we use Simplant and Piezotome. These tools allow for proper planning and make the surgical procedure quick, precise and pain-free. We also utilize Atlantis CAD/CAM technology to make customized implant attachments and all ceramic restorations, such as Emax restorations. These are the most natural looking crowns on the market today.
